Trip to Wisconsin-1

We flew to Wisconsin in July to visit Steve's parents, and Skyler was so excited to ride on an airplane. As we got off our first flight, the pilots let him into the cockpit to see all the controls. I was a little surprised because I thought the cockpit was protected and only for the pilots.

In the Minneapolis airport, there is a Harley Davidson shop with this motorcycle outside. We had layovers there on our way to Green Bay and on our way home, and Skyler had to sit on the motorcycle both times.

I knew Skyler was going to love spending time at his Grandma's and Grandpa's. They have a three wheeler and a tractor, two things that Skyler loves. He wanted to ride the three wheeler constantly, and Steve took him for rides 3 or 4 times a day while we were visiting.

The purpose of our trip was a family reunion on Steve's mom's side. We spent the weekend in Door County with all of his 4 aunts, 2 uncles, cousins, and immediate family. The first night, we went to Steve's cousin's "cottage" (mansion) for a barbecue. They live right on the bay, and Steve's cousin built the house out of reclaimed log homes. We didn't get any good photos of the house, but you can see the corner in this picture.
We spent the weekend catching up, mingling, and Skyler and Steve spent lots of time in the pool.

Skyler was a little out of sorts the whole trip, and we had more than our fair share of tantrums. One of the larger episodes occured when it was time to get out of the pool because of a threatening storm.
