Every Monday Skyler and I go to "Play Group" which usually consists of us and one other mom and her two kids. This week we were scheduled to go to the zoo, but the other mom cancelled. I had already told Skyler we were going, so we went by ourselves anyway and had a great time. He's not really that into the animals. I try to get him excited about watching the monkeys or the bears, but he takes one look and moves on. In fact on the way to the zoo, he said "Mom, I love backhoes and motorcycles", and I thought we should just watch the road and I could save 10 bucks. Skyler's favorite part of the zoo is the carousel. I bought one ticket for him and reminded him that he could only ride it once. We watched it for a while, and Skyler chose the animal that he wanted to ride- the "monkey". As soon as the ride was over, I attempted to take him off the "monkey" and he said in the saddest voice, that he wanted to ride the other animals too. Of course the sad voice shortly turned into a scream when he realized that he couldn't ride again. I guess Lagoon is going to have to wait.

Skyler's next favorite part of the zoo is the playground, followed closely by the train. And let's not forget all the water fountains. He LOVES those and could watch them forever, while the elephant only kept his attention for about 3 minutes.
