Mother's Day

It's a different experience actually being a mother on Mother's Day. Steve let me sleep in and then made me a yummy breakfast of eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns (my favorite). I helped Skyler make me a Mother's Day card, which mostly consists of dots. He loves to make dots!

I decided that for me Mother's Day is a time for me to reflect on my own love of being a mother. I am so lucky to have such a sweet little boy call me "mama". The other day, I made a vegetable-noodle casserole for dinner, and Skyler also had some kind of baby food on his plate (we call it puddin'). I said, "Skyler, do you like the noodles?" He shook his head and said, "Noooo. Puddin' tastes good". At least he was honest.
