A Little Bit of Everything

I feel like I am so far behind in keeping my blog updated, so I am just going to post a little bit of everything. Last weekend, My sister Carrie, her husband Rob, and I ran in the Ogden Marathon. Don't freak out. I only ran the 5k, but my sister and Rob both ran the half marathon (a whopping 13 miles). Carrie has been training for this for the last 3 months, and I was so proud of her when she crossed the finish line. She is always a lofty thinker always telling me the grand things she's going to do. It's never, "I'd like to run a half marathon", but instead, "I'm going to run a half marathon." That is where my sister and I are vastly different. I always second guess myself, and she knows that if she sticks with it, she can do anything. Great job Carrie and Rob!
We have been going to the park with a play group a few times a week, and Skyler's favorite thing to do is run around the tennis courts.

As always, Steve is trying to complete numerous home repairs at our house. Here he is restaining our deck. Don't you love his plastic bag booties? He asked me if I used to bag my feet before putting my moon boots on. Kids in Wisconsin did that too?
I painted this lovely picture of a tree to put in our playroom since it has no windows.
We picked up this car last week on the side of the road. It had a "FREE" sign on it, and we just happened to drive by at the right time. Another car pulled up behind us, but we grabbed it before they could even get out of their car. The wheels are a little bent and so it doesn't turn as well as it should, but Skyler LOVES it.

Steve taught Skyler how to put gas in the tank.

Some funny things Skyler has said lately:
hook shot- "suck hot"

orange juice- "oh-doo-doo"

lemonade- "men-o-mape"
monitor- "mah-da-buh"
