Great Grampa's Farm

Last weekend, Skyler and I went to Idaho to visit my parents and grandpa. We actually hadn't been up to Pocatello since Thanksgiving, and I thought our trip was WAY overdue. On Friday, we went to Blackfoot to visit Skyler's great grandpa. He is 97 1/2 years old and still gets around pretty well. In fact when we arrived at his house, he was out in the milking barn spraying out the stalls. Skyler loved Grandpa's cane and carried it around the house.

There was a baby calf in this pen, and Skyler would smoosh his face between the slats to look in.

Skyler loved spending time with his Grandma Mimi and Grandpa Lynn.
We went in the barn to watch Sterling (my cousin) feed a bottle to a calf. There were about 6 pigs in one of the pens, but 3 had gotten out and were running around the barn . Sterling said he had just put those pigs back, but they were out again. Two of them figured out how to get back in the pen, but one of them was struggling. He would get his head between the bars and then kick his legs frantically, but he never did get back in on his own.
Skyler loves anything with wheels, so he was excited to see this tractor. My uncle and cousin were actually in the midst of rolling grain, so we got to see them drive around.
