Skyler (#5) played on a soccer team this fall- the Blue Lightning. He was so excited to get his uniform and cleats even though the uniforms completely drown all the kids his age. None of the other kids on his team had played before, so they were extra fun to watch. Ha, ha.

Steve volunteered as the coach, and he quickly learned how hard it is to tell 4 and 5-year-
olds what to do and expect them to be able to carry it out. They were all very excited when they got to sit out and rest.

Two of the kids on the team were
aggressive and seemed to "get" the game, and the others provided much entertainment for all the parents. It really is fun to watch them play. Skyler loves to watch his feet while he runs, so we had to remind him to watch the ball and not his feet (he was sometimes running the opposite direction as the ball). We did learn that Skyler's strength is being able to kick the ball really hard. He can kick! He even scored a few goals during the season.
