Christmas Day

Christmas is so fun with kids! Skyler couldn't wait for Santa this year, and he asked so many questions- "how does Santa make all the toys", "how do the reindeer fly", "is Rudolph really one of Santa's reindeer", "how come he's not in this book" (The Night Before Christmas)? We couldn't put any presents out early because Anya was very interested in everything related to the Christmas tree or decorations. On most days, more ornaments were on the floor than on our tree. Thankfully, only one thing got broken. I had bought Skyler and Anya each a small snowglobe with their initial inside. Anya dropped hers within about 30 minutes, and it basically exploded on the floor. (Serves us right. Who gives a 1 year-old a snow globe?)

Here are Skyler and Anya bright and early on Christmas morning.
I love that face!
New books and hotwheels tracks

This is Anya's new Ruff-Ruff.

Taking Ruff-Ruff and Kitty for a ride in her new shopping cart.

Steve got a helmet cam so he could take video while he's skiing.

Steve commisioned his friend to do charcoal sketches of my children. They are so beautiful, and it is such a thoughtful gift. I hung them above my piano so I can look at them every time I play. Thank you Steve!

I made this skirt for Anya for Christmas. Although it took me forever, and I swore I'd never make another, I'm already thinking about the next one.
